Eastminster
La Siesta Evangelical Church is part of the Levante Presbytery which is ‘Partners in Mission’ with Eastminster Presbytery in Ohio in the USA. The link was first established in 2006 as a five year project.
A group from Eastminster came to visit us here in Spain in April of that year, then a further group visited later in 2006.
In February 2007, a group went from the Levante Presbytery, including a representative from La Siesta Evangelical Church. We are awaiting another visit from Ohio in the early part of 2008.
Although the two presbyteries are many miles apart, the problems faced by both are remarkably similar. We can all learn much from each other.
Our Sunday School children have now started to form links with the children at Wickliffe Church and we hope to form friendships with other churches in Ohio.
