"Wrestling for a Blessing"
In today's scripture readings, we hear two stories that challenge us to reconsider what faithful prayer looks like: Jacob wrestling through the night at the Jabbok River, and a widow who refuses to stop demanding justice. What if sometimes faithful prayer means wrestling with God and refusing to let go?
Thank you to Dot Colling for our scripture readings, Tom Davis for our Intercessions and José Cueto for recording the service.  But as always special thanks to Pastora Judy for bringing us this timely message of "Wrestling for a Blessing".

SUNDAY 26 OCTOBER: We are very sorry but due to phone and computer problems, there will be no video of our service this week.

MANY VOICES, ONE TABLE - Sermon Summary: From Luke’s Gospel today, Jesus tells the story of two men - one whose prayers are self-important, the other who recognises his own need for mercy. As we celebrate our global connection as Christians today, we are reminded what truly unites us - not our achievements or backgrounds, but our shared dependence on God’s mercy.

Thank you to Colin Anderson for our scripture readings, Bob Wilson for our Intercessions, Gregory Gabka for the Lord’s Prayer in Polish, Uli Doerr and the choir for the music, and José Cueto for Prayers in Spanish and for recording the service. But as always special thanks to Pastora Judy for bringing us this timely message on World Communion Sunday.

“One in Ten”

In Luke’s gospel this morning, we hear the story of ten lepers who were healed by Jesus; yet only one returned to give thanks. As we celebrate Harvest Sunday and bring our gifts for those in need, we explore what it means to move beyond occasional thanksgiving to a life shaped by gratitude - to "thanks-living" that transforms us and blesses others. Thank you to Gregory Gabka for our scripture readings, Howard Cook for our Intercessions, Bob Wilson, Uli Doerr, and the choir for the music, and José Cueto for recording the service. But as always special thanks to Pastora Judy for bringing us this timely message on Gratitude on this Harvest Sunday.

"Mustard Seed Faith"

In today’s reading from Luke’s gospel (17:5-10), the disciples ask Jesus to increase their faith. Jesus’ response was surprising to them, as it may be to us as well. Jesus reminds us that what matters more than the size of our faith, is that God has already given us everything we need to live as his faithful followers. Faith grows as we act on what we have.

Thank you to Brian Todd for our scripture readings, Davy Young for our Intercessions, and José Cueto for recording the service. But - as always - special thanks to Pastora Judy for bringing us this timely message on faith.

“Learning to See”

Today we explore Jesus's parable of the rich man and Lazarus as found in Luke’s gospel. The parable challenges us to see with fresh awareness the needs of those around us and respond with compassion.

Thank you to Myrna Coleman for our scripture readings, Helen Tudor for our Intercessions, Bob Wilson and the choir plus Uli Doerr for the music, Tom Davis for the beautiful solo guitar music, and José Cueto for recording the service. But as always, special thanks to Pastora Judy for bringing us this important message.
