Today our gospel reading is about ‘Doubting Thomas’ who, because he hadn’t seen the risen Jesus didn’t believe what the other disciples were telling him.
Do you believe in Jesus? Do you believe He rose from the dead? Not questions you would expect to be asked but Thomas in our gospel reading today probably asked himself those questions. But first, can you imagine how the disciples must have felt knowing that their leader had been crucified and had left them without any instructions as to what they were supposed to do now that He had gone? They were not sure whether they were supposed to carry on His work or what they should do.

Thank you to Mary Mitchell for our scripture readings, Gordon Newlands for the Intercessions, Pastora Jeanie for the interesting sermon, to Bob Wilson, the choir and to Uli Doerr for the music, and to José Cueto for recording the service.
Jesus Christ is Risen Today! Hallelujah!
Happy Easter and a warm welcome to all of you, especially to Tom Davis, husband of Pastora Judy.
This morning's reading from John's Gospel takes place in a garden, where Mary Magdalene first encounters the risen Christ. In first-century Palestine, gardens were precious places. In a largely arid and often harsh landscape, a garden represented cultivation, care, and the promise of life.
Let us be like that garden where Jesus was buried and rose again: a place where – hope beyond hope – new life springs forth, where faith blooms, where God's love grows and bears fruit. Where peace flows like a river, despite the aggressors. Where all are fed, despite cuts in foreign aid. Where all people are accepted, despite the hate. And where people are healed, despite the odds.
Thank you to Dot Colling for our scripture readings, Gordon Newlands for leading the Service and our Intercessions, Tom Davis (husband of our new Pastora Judy) for reading the wonderful and moving sermon jointly written by Tom and Pastora Judy, to Bob Wilson and the choir, to Pastora Jeanie for the uplifting music, and to José Cueto for recording the service.
We looked at how Palm Sunday looked to the First Century Christians. Listen and watch the video to see what it was like at that time, and how we can worship in truth and not fall away soon after as some did after Palm Sunday.
Thank you to Roz Dimbleby for our scripture readings, Rick Boyle for our Intercessions, Pastor Keith Brown for the interesting and moving sermon, and José Cueto for recording the service.
I felt that the Lord laid this message on my heart a while ago, and I wanted to preach this close to the time we will be welcoming our new Pastora Judy. I am actually going start by using Matthew 6, verse 12, a very familiar verse from the Lord’s Prayer “And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.” We say these words week in and week out so I think sometimes we tend to say them without really thinking about what they actually mean. Just think about this: We are asking God to forgive us in the same way we forgive others.
We looked at this as well as the Transitions we are currently going through, One Pastor to another. Listen and watch the video to see what we need to be doing to prepare for our new pastor.
Thank You to Jeremy Brayshaw for our scripture readings, Davy Young for writing our Intercessions and Dot Colling for reading them, to Rick Boyle for leading our service and his very interesting sermon, and to José Cueto for recording the service.
