24 September 2023. As we listen to the word of the Lord and sing His praises through our hymns, let us think about how we can best serve the Lord and follow in His footsteps. We hear about the Parable of the Vineyard and those who worked hard all day and felt it just wasn’t fair to be paid the same as those who had only worked an hour or so at the end of the day. Should they all have received the same wage? If we come to God early in our life should we expect better treatment from him than those who leave it until they are old and nearer to the end of their life? Many thanks to Lindsay Mitchell for reading the Scriptures, to Bob Wilson for the Intercessions and to David Sanders for recording and uploading the service.

17 September 2023 Today, we bring our worries and concerns to God; we lift our hearts in praise for what God is doing in our lives and we sing out the joy we feel for God’s love. What is hope? Will we know it when we see it? In a sea of despair, how can we recognize the bits of hope when they present themselves? What is hope? Thanks to Gordon Newlands for reading the Scriptures, to Pastora Givens for the Intercessions, and to David Sanders for recording and uploading the service.

10 September 2023. Today we welcome new people into our community. We celebrate the gifts they bring and the gifts they are to God and God’s family here in this church. The sermon today is the second of three on the subject of HOPE, describing the story of Job - a righteous man with everything going for him, a man who did everything right according to the Law of God and yet this man endured tragedy after tragedy, losing everything in his life except for his faith. In his story we can see seeds of HOPE planted along the way. Thanks to Brian Todd for reading the Scriptures, to Gordon Newlands for the Intercessions, to Pastora Jeanie Cooper for playing the organ, and to David Sanders for recording and uploading the service.

3 September 2023. This month we will be looking for HOPE in this complicated world... Today, we look to Jesus for signs of hope through the kindness of strangers and the comfort of friends. looking for the glimpse of sunlight in a dark world. Today we begin with unexpected kindness – maybe someone helping a weary mother carry a stroller on the stairs; or when someone holds the door for a stranger; or smiles and says “Good morning” when they greet. Jesus tells us to “Love God and Love our neighbour as yourself” and gives a wonderful example in our scriptures today. Many thanks to Dot Collings for reading the scriptures, to Sharon Rippon for the intercessions and to David Sanders for recording and uploading the service.
